7th-13th OCTOBER 2024
It’s officially October! And that means that the Green Libraries Week is fast approaching. Get ready to participate celebrating your libraries!
The Green Libraries Week celebrates all those Libraries in the UK that have a focus on sustainability and environmental awareness. One full week when these libraries organise workshops and events of many kinds all focused on the themes of a greener future.
From the 7th to the 13th of October, join the CreateSpace in the Main Library on campus in a week full of activities. You can participate in any of many workshops, from patch making, sawing, gardening and more, talks, film screening and save the date for the Broughty Ferry clean-up happening on the 8th of October. All activities are free and a great way to get involved with the university life, meet people and learn something new.
The Magdalen is also participating by hosting a Zine workshop in the CreateSpace on the 10th. Open to all students and stuff, we will be teaching how to make zines from scratch repurposing the material that is available in the CreateSpace and giving a second life to scraps.
To find the complete list with dates and times of all the events and to register to participate, visit the CreateSpace blog.
